STÄUBLI FAVERGES SCA

Stäubli is a Europe based international company with three business fields: robotics, textile machinery and connectivity. In this project the robotic company from Stäubli group will take part, named Stäubli Faverges SCA (STA), based in Faverges, France, where all robots are designed and manufactured. STA established in 1982 after acquiring Unimation, the company that manufactured the first industrial robot in the world. Currently STA is a technological champion company where research and development represents one of the main priorities. STA is a leading-edge player with its engineering as effective and reliable as its sales and services. STA is present in 25 countries (commercial subsidiaries, customer support services) and has a distribution network in 50 countries around Europe, America and Asia. The robotic range is designed to comply with several market applications such as loading / unloading machine tools, machining3D, measurement, marking, deburring, polishing, high pressure cleaning and welding and laser cutting. STA offers a large range of 4 and 6 axis high performance industrial robots, with a reach from 200 mm to 3400 mm. STA also provides a large range of software systems.

Role in the COROMA Project

Stäubli as one of the largest robot manufacturers in Europe will participate in the integration of all the COROMA modules in a single robot platform, and will lead the robotic requirements task. Stäubli will provide the necessary support to the partners developing the individual COROMA modules for the integration of the developments in Stäubli robots. Stäubli will make two industrial robots available to the project consortium with controllers and software as unified platform for the demonstrator stage.
