This project is funded by the European Union under the Horizon 2020 Programme under grant agreement no. 723853.

On behalf of IK4-IDEKO, Javier Hernández, coordinator of COROMA project attended the European Robotic Forum at Tampere. The aim of this initiative is to Enhance the efficiency of manufacturing environments and further developing collaborative robots with the ability to interact with humans.

The event had a good partner-representation who took the opportunity to know the latest news in the Robotics sector. Shadow Robot even showed the CORO-HAND, demonstrating in a practical way one of the modules of COROMA. BA Systemes and DIN reviewed the technologies related to AGVs and Standards presented at the forum, which surely will have an impact on the integration and demonstration phases of the project.

On March 13rd, Javier Hernández had the opportunity to present the progress and partial results of COROMA project. It was in the 5th Workshop on Hybrid Production Systems (with a nice winter scenery at his back), sharing a session with other EU projects like Thomas, or Symbio-tic, nearly related to part of the scope of COROMA. No doubt these projects will benefit of collaboration, sharing information on technical approaches, and on problems when facing both the technical implementation and the transference of the systems developed to industry.

Next appointment, 20-22 March 2019 at Bucarest, ERF’19, will see for sure close-to-completion industrial solutions and products.
